Tech giants, Apple and Samsung, some would call them “frenemies for life” both has been reportedly hard at work to bring a new “smart” product in a totally new market.
Apple iPhone 6 vs Samsung Galaxy S4 transform to watches
Apple Inc. (AAPL) has a group of about 100 people work as product designers for the rumored smartwatch device project.
According to Bloomberg, iWatch is a watch that will possibly have the features of iPhone and iPad which means you can make calls, send messages or even browsing the web.
“The iWatch will fill a gaping hole in the Apple ecosystem,” a technology consultant and former Apple employee, Bruce Tognazzini wrote on his blog last week.
Korean biggest smartphone manufacturer Samsung also reportedly in the process to join the smartwatch bandwagons.
Recent screenshots leak from a Korean messageboard suggest that Samsung is building a watch that is not on an Android foundation, but instead a custom OS called AltiusOS.
If the rumors are correct, the watch may become another addition to Samsung Galaxy series of devices which also featured a camera.
One of the biggest rivalry in tech, Samsung and Apple is not just competing for smartphone (possibly Samsung Galaxy S4 and iPhone 6 next) market but with Galaxy Atrius and iWatch, they are also targeting consumers bare wrists.
